Fiat Lux

Modern undefined architecture designed by Marc Northstar

Fiat Lux is a proposed in California, this unnamed space function as a modern living space that combine minimal and modern design elements that reflect a comfort zone without thinking of defining spaces from a traditional approach, this idea is to preserve natural light and the natural light will design the spaces from in and out.

Fiat Lux is a proposed residential space in California that explores a contemporary interpretation of minimal living. The project is defined by a restrained architectural language where form, light, and spatial flow take precedence over traditional room divisions.

Rather than organizing space through conventional boundaries, the design treats light as the primary structuring element. Large openings and expansive glazing dissolve the separation between interior and exterior, allowing natural light to actively shape how each space is experienced throughout the day.

The result is an abstract yet grounded composition—modern in expression, minimal in intent, and calm in atmosphere. Every space is conceived through a reductionist lens, where unnecessary complexity is removed in favor of clarity, openness, and visual continuity.

Inside and outside are no longer treated as separate conditions but as a continuous dialogue. The architecture frames views, filters daylight, and invites nature to become part of the interior experience, reinforcing a sense of comfort that is both spatial and perceptual.

Fiat Lux ultimately reflects a study in light, proportion, and simplicity—where architecture is not imposed on the landscape, but gently shaped by it.
